Okay, so how do you develop a workable plan. This might sound like a broken record, but you need a schedule! I am really big on scheduling, efficiency and making the most out of your time.
Your schedule should specify just how many products you will promote in a given month, how many sales can you expect from these promotions, how much each promotion will cost, and exactly how you will promote the product. Will it be email marketing, pay per click, video marketing, pay per view marketing and so on.
Making a schedule forces you to get all those factors tweaked - number of products, projected sales, cost of promos, marketing methods. Do that, and you will be developing your own workable business model and a workable plan, as you go along.
What if you are starting out and can`t be exact because you don`t have any experience to go on? Do the best you can and do some research! If you don`t know how, here`s the basic research you need to do:
- How many searches are there for your main keywords?
- how many PPC ads are running in search engines for similar products?
- How many can find about the niche in EzineArticles?
- Are there any YouTube videos in that niche, and especially videos promoting the product?
- Are many forums are there about that niche?
- How many negative reviews can you find about the product, that you are trying to promote?
All this is important research. Tool around the internet and do your search. Take notes. Remember, an educated guess is better than no guess at all. All successful businesses are very organized. They know exactly where they are and where they want to go. Those are very important and simple questions. Review where you are and the decide where you want to go.
Every plan also needs a part where you need to check your finances. You don`t need a lot of money to start an affiliate business. In my opinion $100 dollars is enough, but then you need to decide how much money you will spend on promoting products and services. Even if you are using free traffic methods, it will still cost you some money. If you are building an email list, those leads won`t come to you for free just like that. Always have control over your finances and don`t go crazy on spending.
Super affiliates have a great workable plan. They organize their time so they get the most out of it. They use only one plan and one or two traffic methods that suits them the best. With a bit of research find out what works the best for you. Develop a plan that is comfortable. You will make mistakes, but don`t worry, love them and learn from them. You will improve yourself and your business.
